Details: I have a 1971 Fiat spider convertable that i would like to sell, The car runs and drives, It needs full restoration done to be road ready, but does drive short distances, There are not many of these engines that still run and not many cars left that move, so If nothing else It would make a great parts car, The floor boards are rusted out like many of these cars did and the doors are too somewhat, the whole body needs to be really gone through. It is almost all there besides a top and seats though. The body shell was gone but i saved most of everything i could strip off of the car, including a winshield, side glass and a door engine cover, trunk lid, and a few more body panels, all trim bumpers radiator heater core,that was there transmission, front axle and steering assy, and rear suspension parts and axles, also i have the motor that is seized, the head is removed and appears to be in good shape. many many moe parts. have titles. I am willing to negotiate a price, I was in the process of restoring but ran out of time, also would make a great base for a fast offroad go cart. like i said i will take pictures of all of the parts i have and car. They would have to be trailered back over here, or thrown on a transport truck, but that´s why the price is fairly reasonable. You could part ONE of these cars out, and get your money back on the transport fees.With the release of the Fiat 500, and increasing popularity in smaller cars, these hard-to-find little gems are bound to increase in value. They´re sporty, economical, and fun to drive.There are a total of 3 cars. Two of them are parts cars, and one of them is a fixer-upper. I restored the red 850 spider in the late 80´s, and it was running when it was parked. I went over seas in 1995, and that´s when it was parked and I stopped driving it. I´m selling them as a ´lot´, and I don´t want to separate these cars (I´d have no use for a parts car, if I don´t have a project). Both of the parts cars are almost complete, and one of them has a title (clean and in my name). They both have engines, but the interiors are trashed and neither one of them has a top. If you look at the pictures closely, you´ll notice that ´parts car #2´ has a factory luggage rack and a roll bar (both items are pretty rare). I disassembled top end and then wanted to improve/redo whole engine - but instead, I picked up, not 1, but 2 more engines instead!!!! and I had high hopes of improving the drivetrain but it did not materialize - see all the original 1.8L upper engine parts in trunk !)1980 Fiat Spider 2000 2.0L Fuel injected riot to drive - hard to start, but runs great once warm, strong engine and really just needs new tires (13 inch tires are not so easy to come by and I did not want to put new rubber on and have car sit all winter)I have a HardtopI have one spare 2.0L FII have another spare 2.0L FI that I had already started to disassemble and clean-upThere are other parts like original fuel pump , a spare engine controller, and please note that BOTH vehicles were complete and running (but the orange one needs interior work and obviously the engine needs re-assembly)The pictures are pretty self explanatory and I will keep this posted for a while to see if anyone out there likes old Fiats (I never did join the Fiat Lancia Club (FLU.org I think) but would recommend you to look there for Fiat wisdom). It has all good glass and minimal rust(a couple spots in the drivers floor and a couple in the floor of trunk. The top is trash but the frame is complete. Dash has a couple of cracks and the center console has the ussual cracks as well. This car is driveable but not legal on the road(lights and exhaust mostly). Interior is in fair shape as the seats have been recovered at some point but they need a lot of cleaning. Car starts runs and idles well clutch brakes and drivetrain seem to operate smoothly. The car is not perfect by any means, the drivers seat has a rip and the dash has the ussuall cracks as well as the center console. But I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere, any distance. Previous owner said he replaced engine????? I really cant tell that but just the same. He also replace all of the brake lines rotars and brakes, this does appear to be the case.
