This car has underwent a full restoration however the car was loved and used. It has 38k miles on it. The motor has been rebuilt with a new aluminum intake and rebuilt heads. The 5 speed manual trans has been inspected and serviced and is in excellent condition. The body was originally cream however the restoration brought with it a new lovely red theme. The body is in amazing condition for what it is. These cars are known to rust bad especially around the fenders. The fenders on this car have all been replaced and are totally rust free. The body lines are perfectly straight. There are some minor dings in the paint and the body will need some touch ups but for what it is this classic car is in great condition. The interior was replaced and redone. The seats are both in great shape. All the electronics and lights and dash gauges are intact, original and working. The retractable roof is brand new. The grill, wheel covers, spare tire and bumpers are all original. The motor was converted to an electric ignition system rather then a points system. The breaks are tight and the car runs beautifully.My father is willing to make a trade for another classic however no more projects. He wants to keep this car but needs the room and is willing to negotiate with serious buyers. The price $4000.00 is low in my mind but its my fathers car not mine (unfortunately). The car hasn´t seen a winter day in 10 years other then today. If you would like to take a better look at the car get in touch and we will set it up. A major engine inspection with the replacement of the brakes, water pump, cam belt and timing as well as a complete rebuild of the gearbox was undertaken around 2005 (this is a carburettor model). Tires were replaced in 2006. During the summer months this vehicle is used at least weekly and during the year the battery is sustained with a trickle charger similar to those used on snowmobiles and jetskis. The exhaust was replaced in 2009 and the vehicle currently drives with a throaty roar that belies the relatively small size of the engine. The vehicle is due for a respray and resolution of minor chips and scrapes, perhaps new rims and re-upholstery. At face value, it is a good moderate mileage example at 84,000Mi on the clock, ready for the next loving owners attention.Driving Impressions.The car drives as one would expect. Vintage feel, with slower steering and leisurely handling. Engine performance is eager, with excellent fuel economy. Shifting is precise, with no engagement issues or concerns. Very solid overall. Car spent its life in Eastern Washington and was purchased from the second owner in Pullman, WA since which it has been garaged. At some point in the car´s history, the original paint was changed, and the original badges removed as well.When the car arrived, it was in remarkable condition, with only one rust spot on a rear wheel well. A major engine inspection with the replacement of the brakes, water pump, cam belt and timing as well as a complete rebuild of the gearbox was undertaken around 2005 (this is a carburettor model). Tires were replaced in 2006. During the summer months this vehicle is used at least weekly and during the year the battery is sustained with a trickle charger similar to those used on snowmobiles and jetskis. The exhaust was replaced in 2009 and the vehicle currently drives with a throaty roar that belies the relatively small size of the engine. The vehicle is due for a respray and resolution of minor chips and scrapes, perhaps new rims and re-upholstery. Silver with Burgundy and black interior. This is a fuel injected 4 cyl 5spd with a new convertible top. Recently change oil, timing belt and all front motor seals. This car runs like a top and I would not be scared to drive it anywhere. Good tires and breaks, car should pass inspection in almost any state but there is a crack in the windshield. interior is complete but original so the dash does hace a couple of cracks as does the center console. Drivers seat has a tear in it on the back rest but the remainder of the seats are in good shape. Car runs drives, and stops. It has all good glass and minimal rust(a couple spots in the drivers floor and a couple in the floor of trunk. The top is trash but the frame is complete. Dash has a couple of cracks and the center console has the ussual cracks as well. This car is driveable but not legal on the road(lights and exhaust mostly). Interior is in fair shape as the seats have been recovered at some point but they need a lot of cleaning. Car starts runs and idles well clutch brakes and drivetrain seem to operate smoothly. This could be a great fixer project or could be your parts car for another project. Silver in color with black and burgundy interior. This car is fuel injected with a five speed transmission. Approximately 113,000 miles as I am still driving the car. It has a new top, new timing belt and all front seals recently replaced. Everything on this car functions except for the clock. there is also no radio but that may change too as I said I am driving the car. This car runs like a champ and gets 25 to 30 miles per gallon. The car is not perfect by any means, the drivers seat has a rip and the dash has the ussuall cracks as well as the center console. But I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere, any distance. Previous owner said he replaced engine????? I really cant tell that but just the same. He also replace all of the brake lines rotars and brakes, this does appear to be the case.
